Yes. The app requests no network permission, so it has no way to reach the internet at all. Your vaults are encrypted and stored only on your device. Nothing about your contents is ever sent anywhere, because there is nowhere for it to go.

There is no recovery — and that is by design. Your passphrase is what derives the key that decrypts your vault. We never see it, never store it, and cannot reset it. Not even we can unlock your data for you. This is the trade-off that makes the vault genuinely yours: please keep your passphrase somewhere safe.

No. OmniVault is zero-knowledge, which means we never hold your data or your keys in the first place — there is nothing on our side to recover from. The only copy of what decrypts your vault lives with you. We could not retrieve your contents even if we wanted to.

The disguise is a real, fully working calculator — anyone who opens the app can do actual math with it. Instead of a calculation, you enter your secret code, and that quietly opens the vault. To a casual observer, it simply looks like a calculator on your phone.

Yes. Entering your duress PIN destroys the encryption keys that protect the vault. Without those keys, the encrypted data is mathematically unrecoverable — there is no master key and no backdoor to bring it back. Treat this as final, because it is.

No to both. There is no sign-up, no email, no account of any kind, and the app never connects to the internet. You download it, set your passphrase, and you are running entirely on your own device.

OmniVault is Android-only today. An iOS version is on the roadmap, but we will not promise a date until it is genuinely close. If iPhone support matters to you, keep an eye on the download page.

You seal an encrypted bundle that only your chosen beneficiary can open, and you hand it to them yourself. The whole process is offline — there are no servers involved and no automatic timed release that fires without you. You stay in control of when and how your beneficiary receives it.

Only if you choose it. By default everything stays on your device alone. You can opt into an encrypted Google Drive backup, which lives in your own Drive — the backup is encrypted before it leaves your phone, so it stays unreadable to anyone but you. If you never enable it, no copy ever leaves your device.

Only to capture and tag an intruder photo on a failed unlock attempt — the camera takes the shot and location stamps where it happened. Both are optional. If you would rather not grant them, that feature simply stays off and the rest of the app works exactly the same.

Yes, OmniVault is free to download and use. There are no accounts to pay for and no subscription, because there are no servers running on our side to fund.

We are open about exactly how the security model works — read it on the security page and walk through the mechanics in how it works. There are no servers collecting your data and no tracking, so there is nothing on our end to hide. The design deliberately keeps your keys and contents out of our hands.
